Croatian Music

Thursday:

Today we all slept in as late so we could to catch up on our rest. Lynn fed us a hearty breakfast and we piled back in the van to drive about an hour to Machkovec where we will do our concert Monday night. We met and played with some local musicians who will open for us on Monday. It was such fun. On some songs they sang one verse in Croatian and then we sang it in English.

This is certainly beautiful country. It reminds me of Eastern Kentucky with the winding roads and steep hills. After all this is the foothills of the Alps. What really makes it interesting is Todd's driving. If he ever moves back to the U.S. he will have to change his driving habits or he will lose his licence!

We got home to a great meal and some good fellowship. Tomorrow we will do a little sight-seeing, eat some traditional Croatian food in a restaurant and begin the Expositors' Institute tomorrow evening.

There is a strong flu virus going around here and several church leaders have had it. Todd came down with a fever and went to be early today. Please pray for him and for the rest of us that we stay healthy through the duration of the trip.

Check out Brian checking out the smokehouse in this guy's garage. They all raise hogs, slaughter them and hang the meat around their houses.

Soli Deo Gloria!
